Ingredients

  • 160 g canned tuna
  • 6 eggs
  • 12 anchovies small & canned
  • 1 lettuce
  • 200 g green beans
  • 1 shallot
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 4 potatoes
  • 100 g black olives we prefer the Greek Kalamata olives
  • 3 tsp capers
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar or white balsamico
  • 1 tsp lemon
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Heat water in a large sauce pan.
  • Press the garlic finely and chop the shallot. Halve the potatoes.

  • Now prepare the dressing by adding olive oil to a bowl. Also add the garlic, white wine vinegar, pepper and salt, lemon juice and mustard and mix well.

  • Cook the potatoes in the hot sauce pan and add after 10 minutes the green beans. Continue to heat for another 5 minutes. Afterwards also cook the eggs for another 7 minutes.

  • Add tuna to the dressing and mix until you get a smooth creamy dressing.

  • Cut the tomatoes in quarters and tear the lettuce leaves.
  • Take a large wide bowl and add the lettuce, tomatoes, green beans and potatoes.
  • Now serve the salade niçoise composed of the salad bowl, the creamy tuna dressing, the halved eggs, anchovies, capers, black olives and shallots.
